Plaster/Fiberglass -
Chadsworth's decorative capitals can be mounted on either our plain or our fluted Neoclassical or Authentic
Replication columns for interior or exterior use. Our decorative capitals are cast from a plaster/fiberglass
blend. All the interior, exterior and top surfaces should be painted with two coats of oil-based paint upon
receipt.
Most capital designs and sizes can be manufactured as load-bearing for an additional charge. We have
many additional capital sizes and capitals for pillars available that are not on our price lists. Capitals
may be split for reassembly to surround an existing support. Please call our sales consultants for information
and prices.
To select the correct size capital, match the bottom diameter of the capital to the top diameter of the
column shaft. Exceptions are Scamozzi, Empire, Greek Erechtheum, Roman Ionic and Greek Angular Ionic which
take one size larger capital for Authentic Replication columns. Add the price of the selected decorative
capital to the price of the column to estimate your cost.
